Following the success of the CDPlus-Gold EZWriter freestanding CDROM writing system for the A1200 Eyetech has introduced a lower cost high quality "no-frills" version - the EZReWriter-SE CD-rewritable including MakeCD software. Please check the product price pages for the latest prices

The entry levelEZWriter-SE comes with a 2 x write/ 2 x rewrite / 16 x read CD mechanism and Eyetech's ATAPI version of MakeCD software, specially adapted by MakeCD's authors for the EZWriter. Faster mechanisms are also available - please see the price list page or ring/write/email for further details. Even a modestly expanded system is able to support on-the-fly writing of CDROMS at double speed, whilst continuing to multitask with other applications.

The EZReWriter-SE supports multisession writing (for incremental back-ups), audio track recording and disk duplication. Writing 100MB of data takes around 5 minutes.

The EZReWriter-SE is housed in the same metal, colour-matched case as Eyetech's CDPlus-SE A1200 CDROM, but come with an uprated, external 100w power supply to cater for the increased power demand from CD-writer mechanisms compared to read-only CDROM units. The uprated power supply is vital for reliable operation of CD-writer units.

Unlike Eyetechs EZWriter-Gold the EZReWriter-SE is not supplied with rear panel CDDA audio out connectors.

EZReWriter-SE is designed to be connected to an A1200's IDE port via a 4-way buffered interface - the Eyetech EZCD-Mk4 high performance buffered interface is recommended. For EZReWriter purchasers who have not expanded their A1200's IDE port already, Eyetech is making a buffered interface package, complete with atapi driver software and cables available to EZWriter purchasers at a significantly reduced price

CD writable ane rewritable media is available at half price when purchased at the same time as an EZReWriter unit.
